There are many beautiful places in Greece but I have to say that Santorini took our breath away.  It is an island basically formed from a volcano.

There are 3 main parts of the island that we visited.  Fira is the capital of the island and all I can say is the pictures down below don't truly justify the true beauty of this part of the island.  From winding staircases overlooking the sea to hundreds of boutiques, cafes and restaurants you would never imagine anything like this in your wildest dreams.  I could sit in a cafe overlooking the scenic view all day.

If you enjoy sunsets then you have to go to Oia.  When I was there back in 2000 it didn't seem as touristy as Fira but droves of people would make it up to Oia every night to see the amazing sunset.

Red Beach was one of the first places we visited.  The water is great but the shore is very rocky.  Once you step in the water there are a lot of rocks and some are sharp so just take it really slow.  I actually preferred Perissa where the beach is black sand and the swimming is much better.  There are plenty of places to eat around here as well and you can order while on the beach as well.
